Dr. Dave Watson

One of water ski's top judges during the 1960's and 70's. He was an appointed judge at the Masters Tournament in 1962 and remained active for the next 11 years, lending a hand wherever he was needed whether it was Chief Judge or scoreboard operator. As Chief Judge at the National Championships in 1966, he instituted the first Qualifications Judge Position. Since that year, a Qualifications Judge has been named at every Nationals. He also served as Executive Vice President of the American Water Ski Association's Southern Region in 1957. He died in 1986 at the age of 68.
