Mary Gail Holcombe served as an American Water Ski Educational Foundation board of trustee for 25 years. She served on the Hall of Fame Selection Committee for 10 years, Schoolarship and Financial Aid Committee for 14 years, and the Nominating Committe for 12 years. She served as an American Water Ski Association senior judge. She was an appointed Nationals official for more than a decade, and was chief judge of the Nationals in 1983. She officiated on the Pro Tour from 1985 thru 1993 and served as Chief Judge over half a decade. She was the first woman to chief judge the Masters (1994) and was an appointed official at the Masters from 1983-2009.
