In 1997 was choosen as one of the "Outstanding Young Women of America" for her achievements in water skiing and service to her community through water ski clinics by an advisory board headed by first Lady Johnson. Price is believed to have competed in more Nationals in the Women's division in 1960 and has competed in every one since with the exception of 1963 when she took time off to give birth to her daughter, Kathryn. She was the first Senior Woman to be invited to the Master's Tournament.
