Distinguished himself as a tricks skier by winning national titles in 1973 (Men 1) and 1978 (Men 2). Despite his athletic success, Krupa was better known as a tournament announcer, particularly at the Masters Water Ski Championships. Krupa first announced at the Water Ski National Championships in 1969 and went on to become chief announcer at the Water Ski World Championships in 1979. Krupa served on the AWSEF Hall of Fame Selection Committee for ten years and has been the presenter of the Hall of Fame Awards for 12 of the 21 Inductions.
