Gordon Rathbun has been coaching slalom skiing for nearly 30 year. He was a competitive water skier for more than 20 years, winning slalom titles in Men 2-3-4 at the regional and national level and in 2008 he won the Senior Men 3 Slalom title. He also was well known for his publicity work, including skiinh on 49 lakes in one day. He created instructional videos and has written articles for the Water Skier and Water Ski magazines. Since 1989 he has been the owner of Ski Paradise Resort in Acapulco, Mexico, which features high-class accommodations in addition to water skiing, and brings in prominent guest coaches. He is still competing.
