Mike Morgan began waterskiing at the age of nine. In 1973 he would qualify for hist first U.S. National Championship placing 2nd in tricks. By 1975 he was the number one ranked junior boy skier in the United States. In the process he would set trick, slalom and jump U.S. Records including an overall score at the Southern Regional Championships in Lakeland, Florida which still stands today. The subsequent years 1976 - 1979 would see numerous U.S. National titles competing in the Boys Division. In 1980 the start of Open and Professional Competition would culminate in 20 U.S. National, Moomba, U.S. Masters, Pan-Am U.S. Open and four Professional Water Ski Tour titles. Throughtout this period he was a member of the Elite U.S. Water Ski Team. Mike retired in 1987 due to medical school. In 1990 he would resume competitive skiing again winning additional U.S. Open and National titles finishing Open competition in 2000. In recent years Mike competed in Senior Tournaments winning several U.S. Masters Men, World and Big Dawg water ski titles until 2010. Mike founded Girls That Fly and co-founded Soaked. Mike is married to Kerry for 23 years and has two daughters Lauren and Jenna who are top national and international professional water ski competitors.
