West Virginia University Water Ski & Wakeboard Club

Congratulations to WVU Water Ski & Wakeboard Club for being awarded a grant from the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation. The West Virginia University Water Ski Team is a student-led, tight-knit club founded in 2016 and dedicated to making competitive water skiing accessible to students at WVU. 

As the state’s only competitive water ski program, we recruit and train many first-time skiers to compete across the Midwest and Southern Atlantic Conferences. Despite limited local resources, our team has steadily grown over the past decade to 34 members with strong retention and competitive success. 

This grant will help offset costs, making the sport more affordable and sustainable for our athletes. We’re incredibly grateful to the USA Waterski & Wakesports Foundation for supporting our growth and the future of collegiate water skiing at WVU.
