Honored in 

Jan Thurgar's remarkable career in water skiing spans over four decades,  during which she has made significant contributions at national,  continental, and international levels:  World Championships Official: Thurgar has served as an appointed judge at eight IWWF World Racing Championships between 1989 and 2015,  including roles as Chief Judge and Assistant Chief Judge. Administrative Leadership: Currently, Thurgar holds several key positions within the IWWF:  Member of the IWWF Executive Board (2017-present)  Secretary-General of the Oceania Confederation (2017-present)  Secretary-General of the IWWF Racing Council (2017-present)  Member of the IWWF Hall of Fame Selection Committee,   National and Continental Contributions  Jan Thurgar's dedication to water skiing extends beyond international roles. She has been an integral part of the sport's development in  Australia and the Oceania region: Joined the Australian Water Ski Federation in 1978 Served in various capacities, including: President of the Australian Water Ski Federation, Board member of the Australian Water Ski Federation, President of NSWWSF since 1990, Organised IWWF Racing Championships in 1997 and 2011  Judging Excellence  As a judge, Jan has demonstrated exceptional skill and commitment: Chief Judge of events in Australia since the early 1980s. Officiated at state, national, and international events since 1978. Served as Australian National Judging Director for many years. Dedicated to educating and developing judges. Colleagues praise Thurgar for her Administrative abilities, Fairness in representing all divisions of water skiing, Strong advocacy for Australia and Oceania in international forums, Well-thought-out policies aimed at improving the sport and supporting athletes.  The induction of Jan Thurgar into the IWWF International Hall of Fame is a testament to her lifelong dedication to water skiing and her significant impact on the sport's development and administration. Her contributions have helped shape the landscape of water skiing in Oceania and worldwide.
