Stephanie Stange Scholarship Established

Family and friends established this scholarship in 2025 to honor Stephanie, a very accomplished water skier.

She held the titles of Regional Record Holder, National & Regional Champion, USA Sr. Waterski team member, Sr. Official. She was loved by all by living a life full of joy, purpose, and grit. 

The recipient of this scholarship should demonstrate excellence in Academics, Leadership, and Character. The individual must be enrolled as a full-time student in a 2- or 4-year accredited U.S. college or accredited U.S. trade school; an incoming freshman through senior undergraduate, an active member of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports (USA-WSWS), and, as a member of the South Central Region, qualifies for the SCR 3-event Water Ski Tournament, but need not be an overall skier. 

 Known as the “Mom” of the SCR Collegiate water skiers, Stephanie Stange would cherish the ability to allow others to continue their education while growing in their passion of waterskiing. Stephanie’s tragic passing has created many requests of how those who loved her can honor such a special member of the waterski community. As a result, a scholarship fund is being set up and will be funded by donations from all those who want to honor her memory.

The applicant must be an incoming Freshman through Senior at a two (2) or four (4) year accredited college or university or an accredited trade school as a full-time student and a U.S. Citizen. The award will be made to an undergraduate student for no more than (3) academic years. Recipients must attend school for the whole year during the year of the award. Not open to Graduate Students.
