Celebrating 100 Years of Towed Water Sports: Joe Ray

To continue our celebration of the 100-year anniversary of towed water sports, we’re highlighting 2020 USA-WWF Hall of Fame inductee Joe Ray!



Joe was inducted into the Hall of Fame after his legendary career as an adaptive 3-event skier. During Joe’s 18-year career, he pushed adaptive waterskiing to new heights in MP2 slalom, trick, and jump. Not only did Joe set six MP2 world slalom records, but he was also the first MP2 athlete to complete a full pass in the slalom course.

7 Silver U.S. National Medals

4 Bronze U.S. National Medals

10 Overall U.S. National Titles


13 World Water Ski Championship Titles

6 Silver World Water Ski Championship Medals
