The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation’s Hall of Fame Selection Committee is pleased to announce a changing of the guard. Scott Atkinson and Dr. Bobby Reich will be stepping down in April after serving two terms on the committee; Tyler Boyd and Scott Clack will replace them.

Tyler Boyd hosts The Water Skier Magazine’s “Hit It” Podcast for USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, is a six-time national water ski champion, three-time collegiate national water ski team champion, a seasoned water ski event announcer, and recipient of the Tommy Bartlett Award. Tyler is a student of the history of water skiing and will be a great asset to the committee.

Scott Clack was inducted into the Water Ski Hall of Fame in 2007 and is credited with creating competitive freestyle jumping. Clack started water skiing in 1969 and competed in slalom, tricks, and jumping. He began his show skiing career in 1982 at Cypress Gardens and performed in the attraction’s shows for 18 years. After he retired from competition, Scott worked for Indmar Marine Engines and helped develop innovations that shaped the towed water-sports industry. Having been both an athlete and a business leader will give Scott a unique perspective on the committee.
We are so excited to welcome Scott and Tyler to the Hall of Fame Selection Committee!
Jeff Clark, Chair, and Kim Laskoff, Vice Chair, lead the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. Scott and Tyler will join Cyndi Benzel, Rhoni Bishoff, Betsy Gilman, Frank Harrison, Gary Heinbuch, Rachel Normand, Gary Warren, Mark Voisard, and Mike Avila, Advisor. Members of the committee may serve two five-year terms.
Established in 1968, the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation celebrates the history of all towed water sports and promotes these sports through our Scholarship Programs and the Water Ski & Wake Sports Hall of Fame.
